Jesus Christ Superstar Tickets for Theatre Shows in 2023/2024. Jesus Chris Superstar is an award-winning musical with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber that premiered on Broadway back in 1971. It tells the story of Jesus, and his betrayal by Judas. It will tour theatres across the UK from September 2023 to August 2024.
Crum says he connects with the role of Judas on a musical and a contextual level. “There are very few roles written for me that showcase a voice like mine like this does,” he said of a part that was sung by Murray Head in the original London recording of “Jesus Christ Superstar” and by Carl Anderson in the 1973 film a few years later.
